Her essay, “It’s Code,” appears in Superstition Review, Issue 29, both written and spoken.

Cindy’s first published essay, “Am I a Conditional American?” appeared in Transformations, an online magazine project of the Narrative Storytelling Initiative at ASU and an independent publishing channel of the Los Angeles Review of Books.

The essay won the 2021 Excellence in Creative Writing Award from the Association of Graduate Liberal Studies Programs. It was republished in the national interdisciplinary journal, Confluence, and was featured on KJZZ, the NPR member station in Phoenix.

At advertising agencies in New York City, Cindy produced TV commercials using visuals, performance, editing, music, and sound design. She now applies her production knowledge to tell multimedia stories and to advocate for her community.
